The world's smallest milling machine for dental technicians
The DWX-4 makes digital technology for the production of dental prostheses available for starters, and small and medium-sized labs. The unit offers an affordable and user-friendly platform with the same degree of accuracy as the conventional models at only half the size. With this unit, you can make prostheses such as crowns and bridges in commonly used materials such as zirconium, PMMA and wax.
No experience required
The DWX-4 has been designed so that even those who are using a digital milling machine for the first time will be able to make accurate prostheses smoothly. The process is very simple. After installing the material and the milling tools in the machine, you start with the virtual operating panel (VPanel). With this intuitive software, you configure the unit in a very simple way. The VPanel then sends the CAM data to the DWX-4 and the production of the prosthetics starts.
In addition to the four axes (XYZ axes and a rotating axis), the DWX-4 has an automatic tool changer (ATC) for two tools. The tools are changed without interrupting the production process.
The DWX-4 has several functions that guarantee smooth operation. They include a status light that shows the progress of each job. And a system that checks the lifespan of the tool and warns you automatically when a tool should be replaced. An air blower prevents dust from building up in the milling machine. The negative ion generator eliminates the build-up of dust while milling PMMA and keeps the milling area clean. The DWX-4 also sends you an e-mail when there is a malfunction or when a job is done.
Open system for easy integration
You can integrate the compact DWX-4 into your current production process easily. The unit can be used without any difficulty in combination with the scanner, CAD/CAM software and tools of your choice. The authorised Roland dealers offer a made-to-measure total solution to start-ups.
